  1. i dont know if i want to , or if i can keep doing this. i feel very suicidal but i have trouble reaching out . ive been trying to reach out and to talk to people but no one seems to be able to do anything. no one seems to really care . or they tell me they do but it's so hard for me to believe so. i have a hard time feeling like i'm worth anything, or that i am pretty or smart or nice. i've always had this problem and with my recent break up i feel even worse about myself. i've been feeling like this long before, but now it's even harder for me to believe anything anyone says. i've been feeling like shit to be honest. i just dont think i want to keep doing this.

  2. Dear Anonymous,

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to reach out. We noticed that you posted quite a while ago. Because this blog is an informational tool, it is not monitored regularly and we were unaware that you had posted resulting in the lateness of this reply. That being said, we want to do what we can to support you! We are not able to provide you with ongoing support via this blog, and would like to offer you alternatives for moving forward from here.

From the sounds of things you were really struggling with thoughts of suicide when you submitted your post. We want you to be as safe as possible, and strongly encourage you to reach out to our Crisis Support Centre services that can offer you support:

The Edmonton Distress Line is available 24/7, answered by highly trained and caring individuals who are there to help you find your inner strength. Dial 780-482-4357 anytime you are in crisis or distress.

If you prefer to chat with someone online, contact our Live Crisis Chat service, available at www.crisissupportcentre.com by accessing our Online Services section.

You can also dial 211, 24/7 for information and referral to additional community resources.

We sincerely hope that you find the endurance to survive the difficulties you have been facing. We believe that you have the strength inside of you to reach out to one of the services mentioned. Take care of yourself!

    Sincerely, The Support Team
